meet your co-founders

Meet your co-founders, Leigh and Mishayla!

Leigh (right) is originally from Virginia and moved to Austin in 2017!

She rediscovered her love for reading during the pandemic and has loved books of all genres ever since! Outside of reading, you can find Leigh running on the trail, at the dog park with her Bernedoodle Mac, or inhaling sushi.

Mishayla (left) is an Austin local! She loves Austin so much - she came back after college. When she's not catching up on our latest book club read, you'll probably find her at the gym, on the trail, spending time with her pup, or at any event with live music.

Together, they created Your Local Book Club with the hopes of building a community of like-minded individuals who enjoy spending time quality time over good conversation.

We're glad to have you along for the ride.
